Who is 43 CBD: The Company Story

The company’s journey began in the late 80s in Castle Rock, Colorado, with two friends: Greg Nisco and Dontje Hildebrand. They were passionate about snowboarding and started their first company: Bootleg Snowboards. 

The number ’43’ is originally the name of a snowboarding trick, but it has a symbolic meaning for the owners. In 2015, at the age of 43, Greg launched his hemp business, and Dontje joined the following year at the same age. 

43 CBD’s farms, located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains on the Western Slope of Colorado, benefit from clear mountain spring water and high altitude air: ideal conditions for growing artisan hemp.
